Fishing is one of the most popular hobbies in Heartopia. Its simplicity makes it a favorite compared to other activities. It is also an essential part of the Main Quest and the first hobby you will unlock. During your quest, you will meet Vanya, who will serve as your fishing mentor.
Note: These tables are manually cross-checked and updated for the latest Heartopia patch. Avoid the misinformation found on social media; our database ensures you have the most reliable, up-to-date fish data available.
Getting Started
After completing the quest, your fishing rod will be unlocked, and you can begin exploring. At Fishing Level 1, you will unlock 20 types of fish. You must continue to increase your fishing level to obtain unique and rare species.

Critical Intel: Understanding Shadows
(Insert Illustration/Image here)
Before diving into the data, you must understand the Shadow System. Knowing which shadow to target will save you time and resources:
- Black Shadows: Common fish. These come in three sizes: Small, Medium, and Large.
- Blue Flash Shadows: Rare finds.
- Golden Shadows: Legendary/High-value catches.
Pro Strategy: Every time you attempt to catch a fish regardless of the shadow type you will consume 2 Energy. To ensure a long and productive fishing session, always carry enough food to replenish your energy and a repair kit to keep your gear in top condition.
Timing & Weather: The Professional Edge
A common mistake among players is relying solely on the weather while ignoring the Spawn Time. To catch specific species, you must synchronize both requirements as shown in your Collection Book.
The Three Weather States:
Heartopia officially recognizes three primary weather conditions for fishing:
- Sunny (Cerah)
- Rainy / Snowy (Hujan/Salju): In Heartopia, Snow and Rain are treated the same within the game mechanics.
- Rainbow (Pelangi)
The Four Time Windows:
In your Collection Book, you will see four specific Time Slots. Here is how to read them:
- 00:00 – 06:00 | π Night
- 06:00 – 12:00 | π Dawn
- 12:00 – 18:00 | ☀️ Day
- 18:00 – 00:00 | π Dusk
How to Read the Time Slots: It’s simple but crucial: if the time icon is dimmed or darkened, the fish will not appear during that window. If the icon is lit or normal, that is your cue to start fishing!
