Heartopia AFK Status Guide: What Do the Three Dots Above My Head Mean?

Heartopia character with three-dot AFK symbol animation above the head

AFK Status

In the world of Heartopia, there is an automatic visual indicator to show if a player is currently active or away from their device (AFK - Away From Keyboard). This feature helps other players know when you are idling or busy in real life.

Note: This guide is regularly updated to match the latest Heartopia version. Last update: March 22, 2026.

Status Indication (Visual)

The "Three-Dot" symbol appears automatically above your character as an idle status marker.

  • Symbol: Three white dots ( . . . ) that appear directly above the character's head.
  • Animation: The dots move sequentially (one by one) from left to right in a continuous loop.
  • Trigger Time: This animation appears automatically if the player does not touch the screen, move the character, or interact with any menu for 5 minutes.
  • Function: It serves as a social signal to nearby players that you are currently not monitoring the screen.

How to Clear AFK Status

Removing the AFK symbol is very simple. You only need to perform one of the following actions:

  • Move the Joystick to walk.
  • Tap anywhere on your screen.
  • Open any menu, such as Inventory or Chat.
