Sea Fishing is a daily event where you set sail into the open ocean to catch exclusive, event-only fish marked by a Golden Shadow! There are 2 boats available for this event. It is one of the best ways to rapidly level up your fishing skill, so gather your friends to sail together and test your luck to unlock the Mysterious Phase!

1. Event Overview

Before you prepare your fishing rods, make sure you know the entry details: 

• Unlock Requirement: Reach Developers Guild (DG) Level 7 
• Hobby Required: Fishing
• Location: Fishing Village 
• Schedule: 12:00 and 21:00 (Server Time)

2. How to Start

Ready to set sail? Follow these simple steps: 

1. Head over to the Fishing Village. 
2. Talk to NPC Bill located near the boats. 
3. Select the Sea Fishing Event. 
4. Choose either Boat #1 or Boat #2. 
5. Click Start and then Confirm.

2.1 The Preparation Phase

Once confirmed, a 10-minute preparation period will begin. 

• Invite Friends
  Invite as many players as possible! Bringing a larger crowd increases your chances of triggering the coveted Mysterious Phase. 
• Ready Up
  Once everyone in your party is ready, click the "Start Now" button to immediately head out to sea.

3. Event Costs

You can join the scheduled daily events completely for free. If you want to host extra fishing trips outside the schedule, you can manually open the event using Gold or Wishing Stars. This manual session is fully paid, and the attempts along with their costs will reset every week according to the server time. Both Boat #1 and Boat #2 share the same rates.

4. Gameplay & Mechanics

The event is split into standard fishing phases and an optional secret route: 

• Sailing to Phase 1
  30 seconds of travel time to the first area. 
• Phase 1 Fishing Time
  3 minutes of non-stop fishing. 
• Sailing Back
  30 seconds of travel time to return home. 
• Phase 2 (Mysterious Route)
  If you get lucky, you will transition here instead of going home! You will sail for 15 seconds to a new location, followed by 2 minutes of premium fishing time.
  
  

4.1 Fish Shadows

Cast your line and observe the shadows under the water: 

• Black Shadow
  Common fish. Comes in S, M, and L sizes. 
• Blue Shadow
  Can only be pulled up by using the Mermaid Fish Attractor item.
• Golden Shadow
  Exclusive to this event!

5. Triggering the Mysterious Route

How do you trigger Phase 2? It is completely random. There is no specific trick or hidden requirement to force it open. 

• You can trigger the Mysterious Route even if you or your party members haven’t finished the Personal or Team goals yet. 
• Strength in Numbers
  Playing with a full party of players will significantly speed up the trigger chance.
• Weekly Cap
  Every player is allocated a quota of roughly 1 to 3 Mysterious Routes per week. Keep playing consistently, and it will definitely pop up for you!

6. Essential Fishing Items

Bring these items along to hook fish faster and boost your total yield: 

•  Mermaid Fish Attractor
  Use this to attract fish to your immediate area for 1 minute (up to 3 fish at a time). 
•  Mermaid Perfume
  Instantly catches the hooked fish without having to play the fishing mini-game. 
•  Bait
  Can be thrown into the water to lure fish directly to your line.

7. Shoals and Bubble Buffs

7.1 Triggering Shoals

You can trigger Bonus Shoals by accumulating fish catches. The more players actively fishing together, the more fish will be caught overall, and this high volume of catches is what triggers the Bonus Shoals. 

Once the Bonus Shoals is activated, you will receive a special buff—  Sea Fishing Shoal: Within 30 seconds, fish are continuously attracted to the boat, making them bite instantly (FishingRoad Expert)."

7.2 Bubble Buffs

Bubbles will start spawning after players successfully complete their Personal Goals. There are 5 bubbles in total: 

• 4 Bubbles can be found and popped during Phase 1. 
• 1 Bubble is highly exclusive and only appears during Phase 2 (Mysterious Route). 

Make sure to pop every bubble that appears to obtain a random buff. Once a player pops a bubble, the buff is immediately applied to everyone on the boat! Here are some of the random buffs available from these bubbles:

8. Event-Exclusive Fish

9. Goals & Rewards

To complete your goals, ensure your inventory is not full before fishing. If it's full, you cannot cast your line and must wait until the event ends. Stay on the boat until the event wraps up to secure your rewards. Unclaimed rewards will be automatically sent to your Mailbox.:

1. Personal Goal

• Requirement: Cath 5 Fish.
• Reward:  Surprise Gacha x1 

2. Team Goal 

• Requirement: Cath 20 fish together.
• Reward:  Surprise Gacha x1

10. Event Titles

Unlock a massive collection of sea-faring titles by completing various actions during the trip: 

• Fastest Angler 
  Be the first to complete the personal event goals.
• Sea Fishing Chatterbox 
  Be the first to send 5 chat messages.
• Chatty at Sea 
  Be the first person to chat 5 times
• Chef at Sea 
  Be the first to eat 3 pieces of food.
  
• Musician at the Sea 
  Be the first to play 5 musical notes.
• Photos First, Then Fish 
  Be the first to take 3 photos.
• Fishing Virtuoso 
  Be the first to cast bait 5 times.
• Fruitful Fisher 
  Catch 15 or more fish (let others get "Fastest Angler" first).
• Bubble Performer
  Be the first to pop 5 bubbles.

11. Hidden Achievement: Sea Fishing Master

Want to earn the ultimate bragging right? You can unlock the "Sea Fishing Master" hidden achievement by collecting every single title listed above. 

💡 PRO-TIP

You do NOT need to earn all the titles in a single fishing trip! You can easily accumulate them one by one across multiple sessions whenever you play. As long as you have unlocked each title at least once on your account, the hidden achievement will unlock!
